My home backs onto the Holland River and every year I
use our WARN plow to save us from the backbreaking
job of shoveling off the hockey rink! This year I also
cleared a speed skating track for use by our active
soon-to-be 3 years old. The plow works well to get to the
bottom of the snow, scraping the rink clear. I don't know
what I'd do without it! |

I purchased my Kodiak 450 with a WARN winch & plow when the demand for my snow
removal services grew to 50 + accounts and the shovel & single stage snow thrower
wasn't going to get the job done in time any more. I provide service for 1 business,
a church & the rest are residential. As you can see from a few photos, I have a couple
long drives along with garage aprons and sidewalks. My arm would have fallen off or
would be twice as big as the other from pulling on a handle to lift my plow, if it wasn't
for my 2500 lb. WARN winch. I put this winch to the test shortly after I bought my
set-up. I built a 10x8 shed on skids on my driveway 50' from my lot line trusting that
this new winch would get it back to the lot line. I WASN'T DISAPPOINTED! I didn't even
break into a sweat after I hooked up and pushed the button. I want to add that this
WARN winch has over 400 hours of use. On Feb. 12, 2008 I had to over-night a new
motor without hesitation from the WARN dealership because the brushes were worn
out. The brushes are now on the maintenance list. One more thing, in one of the photos
you will see the first test of the 72" quick attach plow I built to cut time with the light
powder snow, after I had it done I was afraid it was too heavy, again I was
impressed, the WARN handled it! |

Hey guys! Wanna talk about snow, well I've got a good one for everybody :) It started 3
years ago with a 2005 Kodiak and a 48" WARN blade doing my driveway and my
elderly neighbor's driveway. When the first dump of snow came (at least 12" overnight)
then the party started. I helped some friends and neighbors and then the owner of
the gas station at the corner of my street saw what I was doing and the next
morning when I went to pick-up my coffee they asked how much I would charge to do
their lot! I told them that I could help them out this time but I wasn't sure I could
handle it. Well, to make this story short, 3 years down the road I've got 6
commercial contracts that are the equivalent of 8 acres and now I use a 2007 Kodiak
with a 54" WARN blade and 2500 lb. WARN winch and a 2008 Rhino with a 66" blade and
Power-Pivot and a 3000 lb. WARN winch! Honestly when you get 12" TO 36" of snow
overnight it really doesn't matter, WARN WILL GET THE JOB DONE! Cheers to
everybody from the great Northwest. The pictures shown were at the beginning of the
winter 2008 the snowbank in front of my house is now 12' high I'm not kidding!!!

I'm a backyard ice rink builder, and snow on the ice is a bad thing. After a recent snow
storm dropped 5 very slushy and wet inches on my rink, it was time to shovel the rink.
Usually it's not bad, but with this snow it was going to take hours to clear. After a few
quick calculations, I figured each wheel of the ATV would exert about 150 lbs of weight
on their section of the ice, and the ice could handle that much weight easily. It was a
simple matter of driving my ATV to the ice rink, on to it, and lowering the plow blade. In
just a few minutes my WARN plow and WARN winch had the bulk of the snow cleared.
Attached is a photo of the ice rink, before the latest snow storm.

This year is the first time we have had a lot of snow for the
past 5 years. I purchased a 54" WARN plow for my quad
this fall, and boy am I ever glad I did. I have back
problems, and cannot do a lot of lifting/shoveling, etc, so
the WARN plow was a life saver this year. Several of
my neighbors are in the 70 to 85 year old group, (some
have had heart attacks in the past) but most do
some light shoveling. I sure am glad I am able to be
there for them this year with my plow. We have had
lots of snow, and cold (-46 windchill) at times. These
folks can't go out in that cold and shovel, so I am
more
than happy to get on my quad and clean all the sidewalks for 2 blocks in either
direction, and all the driveways of those who need help. Besides helping them, I am
having fun, I mean where else am I going to ride my quad this time of year?
We have been in this neighborhood for over 26 years, and it's great to be able to help all
the friends and neighbors who have been so good to us over the years. The best part is
my neighbors love me. (At least when it snows, ha, ha.) Let it snow, my WARN plow
will get us through.

When I first purchased my ATV about 1 year ago the first thing I asked for from the
dealer was a WARN 2500 lb. winch. About two months later I ordered a WARN 54" plow.
It was the best possible plow I could have purchased. Last fall I used it to move around a
full dump truck load of topsoil in my backyard. I also used it to move a huge pile of ashes
after we had burned a pile of brush. Since then I have used it to plow tons of snow. No
matter how much snow there is it is no match for the WARN plow with my powerful
Honda Foreman 450S behind it. It even plows more than the Kubota compact diesel
tractor I used to own before my ATV. I have always loved plowing snow and plow my
neighbor's driveway every time as well.

When I bought my ATV one of the first thing I bought was the 3000 lb. WARN winch
which I am quite happy with especially since it is mounted low on my Kawasaki 650
Prairie and is in the mud quite often. It is sealed well. When looking for a plow and
seeing the WARN name I knew I wanted it. It is mounted more forward than others
which allows it to lift higher, it is made solid, the mount was easy to install and has not
moved one inch. I plow a road 1km or 1/2mile in length and 4 driveways with this
system, 10 times this year already without fail. I came to WARN's website looking
for shoe replacements from normal wear on crushed gravel and found this contest
and figured I would be a prime contestant with my experience and use of their fine
products which I am proud to promote to others. Keep up the good work WARN!
Sincerely, Darrell, Abolit, Nova Scotia

Finally!! I've found a Plow system that is rugged, lightweight and can take a beating! I
have tried several different other plow manufacturers and nothing comes close to
WARN's durability and quality. I plow commercial properties where loaders and trucks
can't or have difficulty maneuvering in the snow. My 54" WARN Plow takes on any
size job. I love that WARN Actuator...I highly recommend it to anyone who wishes to
save and protect their WARN Winch, it's definitely a great investment. Thanks for
making my job easy and fun! |

I use my WARN plow to clear brush in the farm fields. I also use it to move the snow
blocking the barn door so I can get the cow out. It works great with my WARN winch
and the 4-Wheeler I got last year. It saves me lots of hard work and gets the job done
fast. In the summer my friends and I cleared a big pile of manure for my dad at his barn.
He was happy he did not have to shovel it. Your plow is Great!

With a record 4 feet + of snow, in the month of December alone, my 2003 Prairie 650 with
the 2003 WARN winch and plow setup had to work overtime. The products (already 5
years old now) perform like they are brand new. It is still amazing how much snow you
can push with a setup like this. Living in the central New Hampshire snowbelt, it is
essential to have a snow removal product that is reliable and ready for any job. In the
photos you can see that aside from just clearing the driveway, the WARN products hold
up to ramping the bankings back to make room for the next foot or two. I have
bankings that are well over 6 feet high all around the property. Thanks for a great
product...bring on the snow!!! |

I traded my snowblower for a WARN 48" plow for my ATV. This is my first ATV and
plow. The week before Christmas, we got over 8" of snow and ice and I'm very
impressed with how my WARN Plow handled the job. I have a gravel driveway and
I like the versatility of raising the skids to prevent pushing too much gravel. With the
power behind my Yamaha Kodiak 450 and the ability to angle the plow, the snow was
no match! I even used it to plow out my neighbor's driveway.
