Las Vegas, NV (11/1/11) - Warn Industries is excited to introduce its new Entry Level Series of
winches for trucks and SUVs. These units offer the dependability, performance, and reliability that
WARN winches are known for. They're perfect for the first-time winch buyer and those looking to
save money but still get a genuine WARN winch. Introducing the WARN VR (Vehicle Recovery)
winches. There are five winches in the lineup:
VR8000
8,000 lb. capacity; 94' of 5/16" wire rope; roller fairlead
VR8000-s
8,000 lb. capacity; 100' of 3/8" WARN Spydura Synthetic Rope; polished aluminum hawse fairlead
VR10000
10,000 lb. capacity; 94' of 3/8" wire rope
VR10000-s
10,000 lb. capacity; 100' of 3/8" WARN Spydura Synthetic Rope; polished aluminum hawse fairlead
VR12000
12,000 lb. capacity; 94' of 3/8" wire rope; roller fairlead
The VR Series of winches offer a low-profile design and a separate control box to fit most vehicles.
They have powerful motors; durable, reliable, and smooth three-stage planetary geartrains; and an
exclusive brake design for outstanding control while winching. The VR Series winches wear a durable
black powder-coated finish for outstanding corrosion protection and unique look.
The WARN VR8000, VR10000, and VR12000 come with durable wire rope, great for vehicle recovery
and utility use. The WARN VR8000-s and VR10000-s include WARN Spydura Synthetic Rope. This
lightweight, easy-to-handle rope is durable and strong. Made of ultra high molecular weight
polyethylene, the rope is coated with a black urethane for increased UV and chemical resistance. It
also includes a high-temperature-resistant sleeve on the first layer and a unique self-tightening rope
attachment designed to hold the rope securely on the drum. There's also a ballistic nylon sliding
sleeve to provide extra protection against abrasion. The VR-s winches also include a unique polished
aluminum hawse fairlead.
