WARN Wins Ford Motor Company
World Excellence Award
Company Gets "Gold" For Being a Top Supplier
Clackamas, OR (05/09/08) -
Warn Industries, a Tier 1 supplier of wheel end disconnects to Ford
Motor Company, has been awarded a Gold-level World Excellence Award by Ford. Now
in its 10th
year, the World Excellence Awards demonstrate ONE Ford - award-winning suppliers
working with
Ford as ONE team to produce world-class vehicles for global customers.
Ford gave out 47 World Excellence Awards at this year's ceremony at three levels:
Gold, Silver, and
Recognition of Achievement. WARN was one of only 15 Gold-level winners.
WARN CEO John McCalla said, "WARN is extremely honored to receive Ford's
highest quality award
for 2007. Dedication by our outstanding employees, working every day to exceed our
customer's
expectations, made this result possible. We look forward to a continued, mutually beneficial
relationship with the Ford Motor Company."
The Gold and Silver awards are presented to Ford's top production and non-production
suppliers that
consistently demonstrate superior quality, delivery, and cost performance. The third award,
Recognition of Achievement, is given to suppliers that improve customer satisfaction
by leading key
initiatives: New Consumer-Focused Technology, Ford Warranty Reduction Program,
Corporate
Responsibility, and Diversity and Community Service.
This is the second World Excellence Award Warn Industries has won. In 2005, the
company received
a Recognition of Achievement Award.
