Warn Industries Announces $35,000*
Rock Crawling Contingency Program
Bonuses paid to event winners in Modified, Super Modified Classes
Clackamas, OR. (Feb 9, 2005) - Warn Industries today announced a $35,000*
contingency program for the 2005 rock crawling season that spans five rock crawling
organizations and includes a season ending $5,000 payout to the top competing driver
who has a new WARN 9.0R winch on his or her vehicle.
The 2005 Warn Industries Rock Crawling Contingency Program is designed to
support the many competitors in the growing sport of rock crawling that use WARN
winches.
The company plans to pay $500 to any competitor with a WARN winch as
their primary self-recovery winch on their vehicle who wins (1st place)
at a sanctioned Modified or Super Modified U.S.-based event in UROC, ProROCK, Calrocs,
NEUROC and WERock. (See qualified events below). With 60 eligible events,
the total potential purse is $30,000.
The competition vehicle must also have at least two WARN stickers prominently
displayed and not contain any competing company decals to be eligible for the
payout.
"Warn Industries' contingency program will give competitors with a WARN
winch an added bonus in every qualified event that they enter," said Warn Industries
COO Tom Giacomini. "We are looking forward to this season and to give back to
competitors who use our products."
To support its new competition-only rock crawling winch, the 9.0R,
Warn Industries will also award a $5,000 bonus to the driver with a new WARN 9.0R
winch on their vehicle who wins the most Modified or Super Modified events
(from any qualified events, see below list) during the 2005 season.
"With the limited availability of the 9.0R winch this year, the pool of
candidates for the $5,000 bonus is pretty exclusive," said Giacomini. "We're
excited to see who will win this prize."
Qualified winners must contact Warn Industries within 30 days after the
end of each event and provide photos of the vehicle to receive a cash prize.
