Race for $5,000 WARN Rock
Crawling Bonus Comes Down to Final Event
CLACKAMAS, Ore. (Sept. 19, 2005) - It all comes down to this. After eight months
and nearly 60 rock crawling competitions, the winner of the $5,000 WARN 9.0R Bonus
Contest could be determined at the final W.E. Rock Western National event on
Sept. 24-25 in Vernal, Utah.
Dean Bulloch of On Track Krawler and Cody Waggoner of Team Waggoner are tied with
seven 9.0R wins each. The competitor with the most qualified event wins in 2005 who uses
the new WARN 9.0R winch on their vehicle will win a $5,000 bonus from Warn Industries.
Both teams will be competing at the W.E. Rock event in Vernal, which is the last qualified
event in which to earn a 9.0R win, and a winning weekend from one team could mean a
big payday. While they will not be competing head-to-head (Bulloch competes in the
Modified division -- Waggoner is in the Super Modified division), the action is sure to be
exciting with so much riding on every obstacle.
With seven wins each, On Track Krawler and Team Waggoner have already
collected $3,500 in prize money from Warn Industries ($500 per event win) this season.
Warn Industries pays $500 to any competitor with a WARN winch as the primary
self-recovery winch on their vehicle who wins (1st place) a sanctioned Modified or Super
Modified U.S.-based event in UROC, ProROCK, Calrocs, NEUROC and WERock. To date, the
company has paid out winner's checks at 47 of 52 events (90%) so far this year.
The WARN 9.0R winch is a short-drum, 9,000 lb. winch made exclusively for competitive
rock crawlers. It weighs only 48 lbs. can hold 50' of synthetic rope.
