Warn Industries' New WARN Works Family Includes Solid Accessories Lineup

Clackamas, OR (August 7, 2003) Owners of products in Warn Industries' new WARN Works power tool family can choose from a growing lineup of accessory items designed to enhance product performance and versatility. These accessories are for use with the WARN Works DC winch line (models 1700, 3700 and 4700), the WARN Works AC winch line (models 1500AC, 3200AC and 3000AC-I), and the H1000AC hoist.

All of the WARN Works winch and hoist products can take advantage of the Universal Mounting Plate (UMP). This formed-steel base secures a winch to a platform surface such as a truck bed, or to a structurally secure location such as an industrial shop floor or structure. When used with the two anchor chains (included), it also makes WARN Works winches portable, allowing them to be anchored to a variety of objects.

A rugged load or anchor strap (rated to 14,000 lbs./6531 kgs.) is also available, allowing a winch and/or the winch rope to be secured to varying anchor points, including trees, boulders, vehicles and structures. An optional D-shackle connects to the looped end of the strap as well as to wire rope, cables and chains. This 5/8" shackle, with its threaded pin, provides a safe connection point for a winch hook.

Rugged replacement wire rope can be purchased for any WARN Works winch. Available in 5/32" diameter (35') and 7/32" and 1/4" diameters (60'), this rope is galvanized to resist corrosion. It has a swedged loop on one end and a wire rope terminal on the other. A roller fairlead option assists in guiding wire rope onto a winch drum. It also helps extend rope life especially in conditions involving severe-angle pulls.

Electrical options include a contactor kit and remote control, which is an upgrade to the WARN Works 1700 winch controller, and a replacement for the controllers on the WARN Works 3700 and 4700 winches. This remote control is water proof end-to-end, is equipped with a rubber hand grip and has a 12' lead.

Rounding out the electrical options are a rotary dial switch for the WARN Works 1700 winch, and quick connect power plugs which provide a convenient connect/disconnect capability between a winch and a battery power source.
