A Guide To Trail Etiquette from Tread Lightly

With so many of us hitting the trails this weekend for Independence Day, it's important that we use proper etiquette when we leave the pavement. Tread Lightly has a great article on trail etiquette that talks about the various aspects of sharing the trails. Remember, we need to share these trails with bikers, hikers, horseback riders, as well as other off-highway vehicles.

While you're out, don't forget to clean up your trash and bring a bag to grab those stray cans, bottles, etc. you might find along the way. Don't forget: If we want to keep our trails open, we need to respect them, keep them clean, and respect other users.

Be sure to have a fun, safe 4th of July weekend, and do your part to keep the trails open!
