Warn has more than 400,000 square feet of manufacturing space in both Milwaukie and Clackamas, Oregon. It takes a lot to keep everything running smoothly. You've got lots of machines, manufacturing techniques, and plenty of supplies to worry about, let along regular maintenance to the buildings themselves. It's people like Kirk Hanson that play a major role in keeping things going.

Kirk is the Director of Facilities and Manufacturing Support and has been with Warn for 16 years. He's got a background in engineering, automotive and aerospace manufacturing, lean manufacturing, and business system implementation. He has a wide variety of duties including checking on equipment that's been down, supporting mechanics and electricians, and managing building and grounds maintenance. In addition, he runs the tool and die shop and works directly with the employees in our tool grinding area. Both of these departments make and maintain the many broaches, CNC machines, welders, and multiple other pieces of equipment on the shop floor. In addition, he's in charge of supplies throughout both buildings.

A native Oregonian, Kirk is an off-road enthusiast. He owns a Jeep Wrangler YJ on 37s with a host of off-road goodies such as ARB front locker, Detroit rear locker, WARN Premium hubs, WARN XD9000i winch, WARN Rock Crawler bumpers, and WARN Lights. You can see pictures of his red YJ in a variety of WARN photoshoots, such as the Montana Divide Ride, the Sand Lake Video Shoot, and the WARN full-line winch video. His tow vehicle is a Cummins-powered Ram, too.

Kirk is almost always on the move around the facilities, making sure everything is operating as it should. In his free time, he's often out hunting/fishing, on the trails in his Jeep, or working on his latest carpentry project.
