The building of an ICON: the ICON Bronco

You may be familiar with ICON. They've built some amazing reproduction and restorations over the years, including the ICON FJ and CJ. These aren't just off-road vehicles, they're truly works of off-road-capable art.

The latest vehicle the company has produced is the ICON 1968 Bronco. This sexy beast is part vintage 4x4, part modern-day truck. It is powered by a new Ford Coyote 5.0-liter V8 out of the new Mustang, has Hutchinson run-flat beadlocks, rides on Fox Racing shocks, and is equipped with WARN Premium Hubs and a 9.5xp winch, among other top-of-the-line equipment.

Everywhere you look, this off-roader is teaming with awesomeness. Custom billet here, super-trick gauges there, lots subtle LED lighting, and custom, custom, and more custom. To top it off, the truck wears an attractive gray paintjob. Best of all, it retains the classic good looks of the early Ford Bronco.

It's hard to put into words the amount of work that went into this amazing Bronco, so I'd highly suggest visiting their Car Domain page to check out all of the build photos as well as the finished project. The truck makes it public debut at the 2011 SEMA Show next month, and you can be sure I'll snap a few photos of it.
